The Art of Possibilities offers a number of group courses and skills workshops for people with or affected by ADD/ADHD.  You can read the descriptions of these programs below and check the current program listing to see if the course is currently taking registrations. We are always happy to create a workshop that meets your specific needs.

Description of Courses Offered:

Group Coaching for Parents

A series of four -one hour tele-courses. Each tele-course focuses on a single topic and consists of a lesson module of about 30 minutes in length, leaving time for questions and goal setting to implement afterwards. Camaraderie and supportive communities develop through these courses so that, if you wish, you have a support group long after the classes end. As an added bonus, Sue and I have included a 30 minute private coaching call which will address any lingering individual questions.

Tele-courses are held in a LUNCH and LEARN format from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. (EST), and will cover these topics:

Family routines and habits to ensure academic success

Positive advocacy with school personnel

Overcoming procrastination and stimulating motivation

Bullying: both sides of the issue

My Relationship Isn’t Working- Could it be ADHD?

A 4 week course specifically tailored for the person without ADHD.

In this course we look at ADD/ADHD and Couples from the perspective of the non-ADD/ADHD partner in an ADD/ADHD relationship. We will give you some idea of what it is like to have ADD/ADHD, and an understanding of how your partner’s ADD/ADHD can negatively impact your life. We will discuss the top reported ADD/ADHD behaviours which make the non- ADD/ADHD partner feel unloved, unimportant and ignored. We will share effective strategies and show you how to implement them to successfully improve your relationship with your loved one. We help you lay out your plan for a happier, healthier, loving relationship.

 

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation for ADHD

A 4 week course specifically tailored for the person with ADHD.

Mindfulness meditation is a type of meditation based on training attention and self-awareness. Find out for yourself why making mindful meditation an habitual practice, is of benefit to individuals with ADHD. In this introductory course, we look at the current research and findings, in addition to practicing some initial mindfulness meditation skills.

 

ADHD - 411

Get answers to your questions. For the newly diagnosed, those who think they have ADD/ADHD, parents who have children with ADD/ADHD and have questions about it. Professionals whose patients or clients would benefit from additional education around ADD/ADHD can refer groups of patients or clients.
